The sanctiongranted

  1. 2025-08-01 — Date proposed for the committee to agree.
  2. 2025-09-04 — Applied to An Coimisiún for 14 March 2026.
  3. 2025-09-29 — Granted. Reference AC-2026-0114.

Date sanctioned. The syllabus can be built and published against it.

Only “granted” clears the syllabus. An application can still be refused, so a committee may prepare against a proposed date but holds publication until it comes back confirmed. Trying to walk a granted date back to preparing is refused in words: “This date is already granted. Withdraw it first if the committee is genuinely giving it up — a granted sanction is what every other booking downstream is relying on.”

No date of birth anywhere in this table. An age GROUP already proves eligibility; the exact date is authorised access only. What a return with a real gap looks like before it is fixed:

Retention0 overdue

7 years from last participation, under An Coimisiún's seven-year rule.

Anonymised, never deleted. The row stays; the name, date of birth and household link are overwritten. Every result that dancer was ever part of survives exactly as published, because a placing never joins live to a dancer record — it never was going to read this one again. A dancer with any future entry is never due, however old their last one was.

A subject access export

4 sections, 4 records in total. Nothing was found for: Safeguarding records.

An empty section is named, not omitted. An export a family cannot tell is complete is not a fulfilled request.

A ceili team

This competition needs at least 4 dancers; the roster has 2.

Combined (2 schools)

This roster is within the declared size. A team drawn from more than one school reads “Combined” rather than being silently attributed to whichever dancer sorts first — the same frozen-fact treatment a solo entry's school gets. Once entered, a team is tabulated, numbered and published exactly like a solo dancer: the calculator never knows or cares whether the id behind a mark is one person or eight of them in formation.

Belfast Feis, in numbers412 entries

412 entries from 158 dancers. 9.1% of rostered shifts had nobody arrive. 1 competition ran over its planned time.

Next year’s opening budget

4 cost lines carried forward from last year's actuals. 1 line had no actual recorded and were left out — add them by hand.

LineCarried at
Ulster Hall, one day£1485.00
Three adjudicators, fees and travel£912.00
Two musicians£360.00
Medals£1.90

Carried at last year’s actual, marked as an estimate. A cost that was real last year is still only a guess for a year that has not happened — a committee that trusts an inherited number as settled has stopped checking it. A line with no actual recorded is dropped rather than carried at zero, which would quietly disappear from the budget instead of prompting the treasurer to fill it in. Combined with cloning the competition catalogue and the award allocations, this is what makes year two substantially easier than year one.
